ALPANA LELE
Settled in Goa, Alpana Lele has studied Fine Arts at M.S. University, Vadodra and Sir J.J. School of Arts, Mumbai. Primarily, a student of Sculptor, she is equally conversant in the art of Painting and Fine Ceramics.
She has taken up Drawing with black and brown water proof inks as her medium of expression. Recently she has introduced colours to her monochrome drawings to enhance the sharpness of her line work and to create a deep contrast in total composition. Fascinated by the Rural life, it has been her main theme of the exhibitions.
Recipient of State Award for BEST SCULPTURE from Lalit Kala Academy, her work has been selected by Bombay Art Society. Her works have found a place in Air India Collection as well as Private Collections in USA, Holland, Canada and Iceland besides India.
