ASMITA SHAH

A professional Indian Contemporary artist from Pune, Maharashtra India. Born and brought up in Baramati. She was engaged in the arts from her childhood days.

Her hobby then, turned into her passion with the support of her parents and completed GD arts and ATD in year 2000 from Bharathi Vidhya Peeth, Pune.

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, this quote has been the central theme for her in all of her paintings. During her initial days, She would be mesmerized by the bright and cheerful colored robes worn by the African-Tribes (The Maasai tribe and The Zulu tribe).  This is when she began researching more about tribes, cultures, their significance and what roles they play in today’s world.   

Tho India being a conservative cultured country, she has taken a bold move to express love. Inspired by ancient Khajuraho sculptures, she expresses the true feeling of love through her own 3D art style.

Apart from this, She also loves to express the Ancient Indian God and Goddesses stories through her art style.
